Albert Brooks article.

I love all the blogs that are linked in the right column. And because of that, I try to never repeat the same information as them. If you want to know what they're saying, go visit them. You'll be doing yourself a favor.

But Albert Brooks has a new article in Newsweek. Mark Evanier's blog pointed me to it and if you're not reading him every day (shame on you!) then you should at least get to experience the master through me.

I love Albert Brooks. Walker and I used to have heated arguments about whether he was funnier than Woody Allen or not (he is). I have the only cd reissue of his one of his 70's albums (he had two). In the dark ages before dvd, I worked to tape all his films on cruddy slow speed VHS just so I could watch them again and again.

His new film, "Looking For Comedy in the Muslim World" looks to be incredible. I just read a great interview with Albert about that film at Mark Evanier's blog. How many ways can I get you to go there?

No he is not, plus 5000 more "No he is not's" to reply to your "Yes he is's" Woody Allen cast Scarlett Johansson to be his lover in his next film, what is funnier than that! He is completely crazy.Plus he said "Today I saw a red-and yellow sunset and thought, how insignificant I am! Of course, I thought that yesterday, too, and it rained."

He writes like he talks; I can actually hear his voice change when he said "[running] in slow motion of course"

He is funny and Woody Allen is just plain creepy. I have not seen many of his movies, I will admit that first; but the creepy guy has kids with this adopted daughter......I have heard it listed as "his wife's adopted daughter"--that does not soften the creepy!!!

Jon, looks like you have a project on your hands. Show the wife some Woody movies!

I'll have to go with Woody Allen as well, if not only because of the sheer volume of his work. Just watch that scene in "Sleeper" when we walks out of the Orgasmatron. Still, Brooks is genius. His work on "The Simpsons" alone makes its writers seem only mildy amusing.
