This happened over the weekend but I can still watch it all day. It may be the only time Bush has ever has to face what he's done to the world.

This of course has been all over the place, but it's good to have a bookmarked source I can watch every 15 minutes. Hilarious.
Bush is a douche, but I have to say to positive things about him here. 1) The smirk he manages to maintain as he ducks to avoid the oncoming shoe is awesome. As is his comeback: "All I can report is that it was a size 10."
He might have made it in show business. Or even shoe business. But he never had any business being prez.
Gotta hand it to him for his reflexes. He should've been baseball commissioner. (Maybe he would've found the next "Shoeless" Joe Jackson!)
Actually, I found a translation of what the Iraqi reporter was yelling as he threw the shoes. It changes things considerably:
"Thank you Mr. Bush for liberating my country! As a token of my gratitude, please accept these shoes, which I want you to enjoy as quickly as possible!"
GWB made it possible for that reporter to throw those shoes and not be immediately executed. That's the irony.
And yet the reporter would not have had cause to throw the shoe if GWB hadn't bombed his countrymen to pieces.
What's better: The right to throw a shoe at the man who granted you the power but caused the pain, or not having the right to throw the shoe, but having no reason to do so?
Me? I just giggle when the reporters say, "let's go to the 'footage.'"
Freedom is not free.
...it takes folks like you and me.
