Japan Day 3: Ginza

Today's planning was a little looser so we decided to explore the surrounding area. No Tokyo subway this time. Kimiyo met us again for lunch and took us to a Kobe beef steak house. It was the best meal I've had in Japan so far. And I'm already getting used to taking my shoes off in restaurants. I'm gonna try it in Wendy's when we get back.

Kimiyo had to get back to work so she dropped us off at Toy Park, the biggest mainstream toy store in Tokyo. I didn't find any more foreign Marvel stuff but Renee found a LOT of Miyazaki plush.

Renee and I wandered over to the SONY showroom. SONY has an mp3 player planned that actually looks like it can compete with the iPod. The selection of Hi-Def cameras is both staggering and bewildering. Considering my Canon conked out right before the trip, I'm tempted to drop some serious cash for a professional model. Unfortunately, the more research I do, the more confused I get.

I can't believe how quickly we got over our jet lag. According to my computer, it's 4:30 in the morning and we're ready to go out to dinner. See you later.
