Walker would kill me if I didn't include "Walking in the Rain". The wonderful video has embedding disabled but here's one at a faster tempo.
I still don't know what the hell is going on with this. At first it's a really shitty El DeBarge rip. But then Oran abandons the song to humiliate his girl. And he NEVER GETS BACK TO THE SONG!
BTW, posting this song was a HUGE pain in the ass. At least 12 youtube versions have emedding disabled by request. I found a live version that suddenly disappeared. Way to let less people access your catalog, Universal Music Group.
So to reward us all, heres Oran's bonus track, "Shaniqua". It may be even better.

I want to comment on every video you've posted, but overall, I just have to say, "I LOVE RAP WEEK!"
Keep'em coming.
"You're just a squirrel trying to get a nut!"
That was an awesome song. I thing there was a response song form the girl, too. I have a tape at home called the "Rap vs Rap" answer album. I'll have to see if I can find that.
There is Bach,Beatles,Elvis,Stevie Wonder....and the juice.... he didn't want to fuck up his $3700 linx coat.
I want to add.....this is the greatest song ever written...I dare anyone to come up with a better speech at the end of a song...it is the funniest thing ever...and that is that.
Cromely, you mentioned that you might possibly have the "Rap Vs. Rap : The Answer Album" tape. I have been searching for either a copy of this tape, or minimally, a list of the songs that were recorded on it. If you could help me out with either of those I would forever be in your debt. Thanks!
I have the cassette: Here it goes..
Side 1: Rumours (Timex Social Club) versus Jealousy (Club Nouveau) Roxanne, Roxanne (U.T.F.O) versus The Real Roxanne-Roxanne (with U.F.T.O)
Side 2: The Rain (Oran "Juice" Jones) versus Thunder and Lightning (Miss Thang), A Fly Girl (Boogie Boys) versus A Fly Guy (Pebblee Poo).
TY for posting that. I too remember listening to the cassette when I was younger then it disappeared. I recently called a few music stores, even one that specializes in finding older cd's and even cassettes and they said rap vs rap the answers album didnt exist! Wish I could find one.
It was published by Priority Records, Inc. in 1987. Just in case that helps. Have the cassette in my hand now! It does exist.
