Dana Gould is a writer for the Simpsons. Before that, he spent fifteen years as a phenomenal stand-up comedian. He still performs from time to time and luckily for us, he catalogues a lot of his sets on his website. There's video and audio of his material which combines dark personal stories with characters and cartoony visuals. It's exactly the comic I want to become and now I know there's constant inspiration online.
