Thats New Line's loss in the end. Peter Jackson is an oscar winner and money maker, which pretty much makes him box office gold.

Too bad about this.
I think Jackson responded professionaly....yeah, when it is about money everyone takes it personally.
The claim that the money owed is in response to an audit sounds better than the implied selfishness by New Line's exec. It did just sound like Peter Jackson just wanting to buy a new pony or something.
