Ben doesn't like sleep. He needs it, he's just unwilling to go there. So he fights to keep his eyes open and he gets crankier and crankier. Any parents got tips?

Welcome to hell....the nice part is as they grow older...you sleep even less......I would always lay the kids on my chest and make a hum or mmmmm sound...it always K.O'd them....Blood.W
Man we tried everything. Happiest Baby on the Block DVD was pretty good. Swadling, shushing, and movement. Louie slept better with white noise. He prefered street noise from a sounds machine.
Woody Guthrie's album Nursery Days...did wonders. Oh, and nursing on your side. Not you, Jon...
Hmm. Sounds like me. Sleep is overrated.
Whiskey? Oh wait, that's for teething...
I put my babies in a cage at night and cover them with a blanket, seems to work well enough. Let me know how it goes.
Lara was less terrified of holding a small human than I was.
I find that Ambien works really well. Not for the baby, for you. Seriously, my daughter used to fall asleep to Joni Mitchell's "The Circle Game". And that's why, 1,000 plays later, I can never listen to it again!
