Last weekend Ben went to see his cousin Mya. I went to see Jimmy's digital projector and the 110 inch screen he painted on the wall. We all left happy.

I'm freelancing for the next month so my schedule is going to be very different. I haven't set foot in an ad agency since Ben was born. I'm actually looking forward to it. That and the money.

Ben Month 14

Now that Ben's over a year old, I thought I'd drop his posts down to once a month. You don't like that. So we'll go back to weekly. It's not like we don't have the pictures.

Ugh Update

Last week I posted that I'm feeling done with stand-up. I've had long conversations with comics since this post and no one has given me any reason to stay. If anything, I've fueled their desire to leave.

Anybody got a reason to tough it out?

Simpsons and Futurama at SDCC!

At San Diego I got to see Matt Groening. I didn't get to meet Matt Groening as I was in the back of a 7,000 seat hall. Plus, I'm a pussy.

But here's what I learned about the Simpsons and Futurama.

Hulk Vs. Wolverine

They showed a preview of the next Marvel animated dvd at the con. It's the first movie from them that I can safely categorize as "rules".

Dark Knight Trailers

I haven't seen a reaction to a movie like The Dark Knight in decades. In the summer of 89 it seemed like there was nothing but Batman and yet this somehow feels bigger. Even Ben says "Batman" now.

People had been going insane for the trailer for months before its release. So insane that I've seen twenty different tributes. But my favorites are the ones done with earlier Batman versions.

Rififi's Is Closed!

It's final. After a year of living hand to mouth, Rififi's Cinema Classics has left our plane of existence. Therefore, Sunday's Writer's Room is not happening.

But we have moved the show to the PIT starting next month. We're putting that show together and we'll tell you about it when we have more info.
