Tom Petty on "It's Garry Shandling's Show"

Funny how the smallest things can have the biggest effect on you. In high school, I really loved "It's Garry Shandling's Show". The surreal way the show broke the fourth wall appealed to me. Especially the awkward way Garry would sneak on a musical guest. Tom Petty was a regular (the two are friends in real life) and this performance of "The Waiting" is my favorite.

After this, I really wanted a 12 string.

For some reason Tom Petty was in my dream last night...no, not like that, he and I were chatting and I was telling him how much I liked the drums on one of his songs; especially after hearing him in concert last year....I can't even remember which song.....and for some strange reason [because I saw him siging with Ernie on Sesame Street yesterday], Luther Vandross was there too...he actually had to run back and pick up his jacket...at which point he turned into Rubin....
Man, taking Dayquil at night does some strange things to me.
